Well, wouldn't you know one of the usual suspect gun banners has said what everyone in the firearms community has known for 40 years now. So, a politician publicly uttered the vile, disgusting "C word".

(warning, this is a NY Times link)

Mr. Cuomo did not offer specifics about the measures he might propose, but, while discussing assault weapons, he said: “Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it.”

For decades now the professional gun ban lobby have insisted “nobody is coming for your guns”. Yet, here we are.

Haven’t we been down this road before?  It has been said that those who are 'ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it'.  So...  The other side in their frothing at the mouth, renewed enthusiasm to use their guns to take your guns have finally let the truth out.

Confiscation is on the table here.

Ok, the use of the disgusting “C word" changes the discussion.  If you want to have a discussion throwing around the “C word”, that is not a national discussion, it’s a threat the likes of which will certainly get gun owners to pay attention.

We don't think you want that conversation.  If we're going to re-live that history, who from the gun control side will be this generation's Lord Cornwallis?
